Before rocking Sands, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine will be in Whitehall Township

Before heavy-metal giants Megadeth rock the Sands Bethlehem Event Center this evening, front-man Dave Mustaine will be spending part of his afternoon hanging out with fans in Whitehall Township.

Mustaine is scheduled for a signing appearance, starting at noon, at Guitar Center, 250 Lehigh Valley Mall, according to the store's website. However, space for the meet-and-greet is limited, with autographs allowed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tonight's Megadeth's concert is set for 6 p.m. The band will be joined by supporting acts Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Butcher Babies.

General admission tickets cost $45.

Following his exit from Metallica, Mustaine formed Megadeth in 1983. Megadeth released their debut album, Killing is My Business ... and Business is Good!, in 1985. The band's fifth studio effort, 1992's Countdown to Extinction, went double-platinum and spawned the single "Symphony of Destruction."

Megadeth previously headlined Sands in 2013.
