10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley

Nothing to see, nowhere to go this weekend? Let me help you with that. Here are 10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley:

1.) Solid

"Retrospective" exhibition -- featuring paintings by the late Joe Wall and curated by Ken Kewley -- opens Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Brick and Mortar Gallery, 8 Centre Square, Easton. The opening reception is 6 to 10 p.m.

2.) Take aim

"Best of OK Cupid" improv comedy show, 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets cost $6, $5 for students and seniors and $4 for ArtsQuest members. Information: steelstacks.org

3.) Gnarly sounds

Gnarly Brews and Midnight Studios present an evening of live music, and beer, 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Gnarly Brews Tap Room & Bottle Shop, 224 Stockton St., Phillipsburg. Imbibe in a pint while enjoying the sounds of Chelsea Lyn Meyer, Frank DiBussolo and others. And there will be food trucks parked outside. Information: gnarlybrews.com

4.) Tap Room takeover

Weyerbacher Brewing Company, 905 Line St., Easton, will host The Pocono Duo, 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, in its Tap Room Visitors Center. Start your weekend on the right foot with locally-brewed craft beer on draft and acoustic rock 'n' roll.

5.) Summer smackdown

Chikara Pro Wrestling wraps up its three-night residency at the Charles Chrin Community Center in Palmer Township, 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4., with its "King of Trios 2015" event.  Cheer on your favorite masked grapplers during a night of luchador wrestling action. The main event will pit The Gentleman's Club against Team AAA. Tickets cost $50 and $40. Information: chikarapro.com

6.) Steampunk

Check out the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts' Steampunk exhibition, on display through Nov. 1. The exhibition features contemporary art of the Steampunk movement and antiques behind their inspiration, according to the museum's website. The Kemerer museum is located at 74 W. Broad St., Bethlehem. Information: historicbethlehem.org

7.) Movie magic

The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, 635 Seneca Road, Lehighton, will screen a double-bill of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and The Neverending Story, 8:25 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, and Saturday, Sept. 5. Cost is $10, $7 for children. Information: mahoningdit.com

8.) Dance, dance, dance

"First Friday Dance Party," featuring DJ Ausweiden and Hexenkopf, is 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Your Welcome Inn, 325 S. New St., Bethlehem.

9.) Quadruple threat

The bands Sound of Reverse, The Waking Sea, Ideas and Aniqatia rock Allentown's The Alternative Gallery, 707 N. Fourth St., 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5. Information: thealternativegallery.com

10.) Easton Flea

Easton Flea, a pop-up flea market located on the second floor of Homebase Skateshop, 432 Northampton St., Easton, is now open. The market features local vendors selling DIY, handmade and vintage goods. Information: homebase610.com
