Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman return this weekend to Easton with expanded lineup

October 5, 2016

The Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman will return to Easton this weekend, albeit with an expanded lineup.

The outfit -- which typically features singer-songwriters Carter Lansing, Mike Roi and a rotating lineup of guest musicians playing their own and each other's music -- are scheduled to perform Saturday at Connexions Gallery.

This weekend's lineup will be bolstered by Not for Coltrane, Pentley Holmes, Bill McConney (The Roux), Jason Hedrington (Roi and the Secret People/The Gonzo Project/Sex and Cheesecake), Bryson K and Michael Allers. Lansing and Roi will also be in the mix.

Show time is 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Burt Sugarman is best known for his role as producer of the 1970s television music showcase The Midnight Special. The show was hosted by Wolfman Jack and featured such iconic acts as Chuck Berry, David Bowie, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ray Charles, James Brown, Prince, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, Elton John, Marvin Gaye and Aretha Franklin, among others.

Connexions Gallery is located at 213 Northampton St.
