Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley will return Oct. 5 to the greater Lehigh Valley for a headlining concert at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg.
Tickets cost $29-$60. VIP ticket packages are also available.
Frehley is supporting his seventh solo album, Origins, Vol. 1. Origins finds Frehley tackling songs by Cream, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, among others. The album includes Frehley's cover of Free's "Fire and Water," which features vocals by Frehley's ex-Kiss bandmate, Paul Stanley.
Frehley was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014 as a member of Kiss, along with Stanley, bassist Gene Simmons and the band's original drummer, Peter Criss. The 65-year-old Bronx native headlined Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown in 2007 and again in 2011.
In other concert news, Sands Bethlehem Event Center officials announced Monday the addition of R&B group The O'Jays, with special guests The Commodores, on Oct. 6. Tickets for that show cost $59.50-$85. Show time is 7 p.m.
Tickets for The O'Jays -- best known for their 1972 hit "Love Train" -- and The Commodores go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, through ticketmaster.com and sandseventcenter.com; by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.
The O'Jays were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
