Musikfest 2017: Jethro Tull singer Ian Anderson to headline Aug. 13

Singer and flautist Ian Anderson, best known as the voice of influential British rock band Jethro Tull, is coming to Musikfest.

Anderson will headline the Sands Steel Stage on Aug. 13, officials announced Friday. 

Tickets, which cost $39-$59, go on sale 10 a.m. Feb. 21 to ArtsQuest members and 10 a.m. Feb. 24 to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at musikfest.org or by calling 610-332-3378.

Jethro Tull's hits include "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath." Anderson has released eight solo albums, including two live efforts. His upcoming album, The String Quartets, will be released March 24. 

Anderson previously headlined Musikfest in 2008. He performed in 2014 at neighboring Sands Bethlehem Event Center. 

Musikfest will be held Aug. 4-13 in Bethlehem.
