'Deck the Walls' expanding throughout Easton for 2015 event

November 2, 2015

The popular "Deck the Walls" fundraiser and art show is expanding its footprint in Downtown Easton for the 2015 event, dubbed "Deck the Town."

"Deck the Town" will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Nov. 28 at three locations throughout the city: Suddenly Samantha, Brick + Mortar Gallery Design Studio and Homebase Skateshop. The show will feature 30 skateboards, or "decks," each one painted by a local artist. The finished skateboards will be put up for auction during the event, with all proceeds benefitting Safe Harbor of Easton.

The decks will be on display starting noon on the day of the event, with bidding scheduled for 5 p.m. The winning bidders will be able to pay for and pick up their decks at 8 p.m. at Connexions Gallery, 213 Northampton St.

The previous two "Deck the Walls" fundraisers were hosted by Easton-based hair salon/art gallery Suddenly Samantha. On Monday, Suddenly Samantha owner Stephen Flowers said the event has outgrown his space due to the number of attendees it has attracted in the last two years, causing it to expand to other locations throughout the city.
