Inaugural Mic Hop Fest in Easton to feature Not for Coltrane, others

October 28, 2015

The inaugural Mic Hop Fest fundraiser concert will be held in November in Downtown Easton, bassist and "Mic Hop Tours" co-host Shawn Cav announced Tuesday, via Instagram.

The all-ages concert is set for 3 p.m. Nov. 21 at Rivals Sports Bar & Restaurant. The event will feature performances by Roi and the Secret People, Not for Coltrane, Carter Lansing, Tennessee Brian, Kays Electric, Blue Heart's Revelry and the Easton School of Rock's Bank Street Band. There will be a $5 cover at the door, with proceeds benefitting the "Mic Hop Tours" web series.

"Mic Hop Tours" is hosted by Cav and singer-guitarist Kenny Maze. The series follows Cav and Maze as they visit cities along the east coast, participate in local open mic nights and document their travels. Cav and Maze also co-host the "Mic Hop Tour" podcast.

In addition to his solo career, Cav serves as the bassist for the band Acoustic Bite Trio. The band is rounded out by singer-guitarist Scott Harrington and drummer Dave Deubler.
