Ticket Ticker: July 20-25

July 20, 2015

The summer concert and comedy season continues this week with shows by Modest Mouse, Chubby Checker and others. Here are the artists performing in the greater Lehigh Valley:

MODEST MOUSE | 7:30 tonight, Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Alternative rock band Modest Mouse returns to SouthSide Bethlehem after a little more than a year since their previous visit. The group is on the road supporting their new album "Strangers to Ourselves," so expect a healthy number of cuts from that album. Just don't be surprised if their 2004 radio hit "Float On" is left out of the set list. Tickets cost $45 in advance, $49 at the gate. Information: steelstacks.org

THREE DAYS GRACE | 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, Sherman Theater, 524 Main St., Stroudsburg. Hard rock band Three Days Grace heads back to the Poconos. The group's hits include "Pain," "I Hate Everything About You," "Animal I Have Become," "Break," "Riot," "Never Too Late" and "The Good Life." Tickets cost $29.50 in advance, $32 at the door. Information: shermantheater.com

CHUBBY CHECKER | 7 p.m. Friday, July 24, Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem. The Iconic singer, born Ernest Evans, also makes a return trip to the Christmas City. (He was a guest speaker at the 2015 Lehigh Valley Music Awards). It is a safe bet Checker's signature tune, "The Twist," will be performed. Better brush up on those dance moves. Tickets cost $35, $25 and $20. Information: sandseventcenter.com

"ALIENS THAT ARE ANCIENT: A COMEDY SHOW BY MATT CANDIO AND JON LUNGER" | 10:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. ManDudeBro members Matt Candio and Jon Lunger, who also happen to be, you know, ancient astronaut theorists, will attempt to unravel the mysteries of space and examine evidence of extraterrestrial contact on Earth. Tickets cost $6, $5 for students and seniors and $4 for ArtsQuest members. Information: steelstacks.org
