10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley

Nothing to see, nowhere to go this weekend? Let me help you with that. Here are 10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley:

1.) Sun shine

Under the Sun Tour stops 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem. The trek features the bands Better Than Ezra, Sugar Ray, Eve 6 and Uncle Kracker. Dig out those JNCO jeans, frost your spiky tips and bask in an evening of '90s nostalgia. General admission tickets cost $32. Information: sandseventcenter.com

2.) Spill Canvas

Indie rockers The Spill Canvas perform Saturday, Aug. 22, at Crocodile Rock Cafe, 520 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Doors open 5 p.m. Tickets cost $16. Information: crocodilerockcafe.com

3.) VegFest

Bethlehem VegFest is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, in SouthSide Greenway, between New and Taylor streets in SouthSide Bethlehem. The annual vegan and sustainable lifestyle festival will include food sampling, vegan natural food providers, speakers, chef demonstrations and educational exhibitors, according to the the Downtown Bethlehem Association's website.

4.) Mission to 'Mars'

Tim Burton's quirky sci-fi film Mars Attacks! will be shown 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Emmaus Theatre, 19 S. Fourth St., Emmaus. Tickets cost $8. Screening is BYOB. Information: emmaustheatre.com

5.) You say 'tomato'

Saturday, Aug. 22, is Tomato Day at the Easton Farmers' Market in Easton's Centre Square. Get your tomato fix,  watch a demo by 3rd & Ferry Fish Market chef Javan Small and learn tomato growing tips from Penn State Master Gardeners. Markets hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Information: eastonfarmersmarket.com

6.) Folk fun

Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley presents Summer Folk Art & Neighborhood Festival, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, in the Arts Park across from the museum, 31 N. Fifth St., Allentown. Inspired by the exhibition, "A Shared Legacy: Folk Art in America," there will be yoga, live music and food in the park; the museum will have folk art, craft demonstrations, music and hands-on upcycle activities. 7.) On the spot

Improv troupe ManDudeBro performs 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Learn what it means to laugh, to cry, and to love. Tickets cost $6, $5 for students and seniors and $4 for ArtsQuest members. Information: steelstacks.org

8.) Jazz hands

Victorija Gecyte and Go Trio headline Miller Symphony Hall's "Jazz Upstairs" music series, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21. Tickets cost $23. Miller Symphony Hall is located at 23 N. Sixth St., Allentown. Information: millersymphony.org

9.) Moon men

Easton-based rockers The Moondogs return 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, to The Longswamp Tavern, 20 Gap Road, Macungie. Support local music.

10.) Prideful

"Pride in the Park" is noon Sunday, Aug. 23, at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown. Presented by Pride of the Lehigh Valley, the event will include an appearance by Miss Kennedy Davenport, of RuPaul's Drag Race, and a "Chef-Off" at 3 p.m. Admission costs $5; free for children under 12.
