The Insidious Rays reuniting this weekend in Bethlehem

September 23, 2015

One of the Lehigh Valley's most entertaining and dynamic original rock bands will reunite this weekend after a lengthy absence from the stage.

The Insidious Rays are scheduled to perform 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, at The Funhouse in Bethlehem.

The band will have a new album to promote, to boot. Well, a new version of old favorite is more like it. The Rays will be releasing a limited run of newly remastered editions of the group's 2001 album Volume One and Two. Approximately 200 copies will be available at the show, according to the show's Facebook page.

The Insidious Rays first caught the attention of Lehigh Valley music fans in the early 2000s thanks to its potent cocktail of sound -- stirred, shaken and mixed with equal parts surf, grunge, reggae, punk and country. The band released their sophomore album, More Songs About Love, Death and Sex, in 2003.

Feel the sting!
