10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley

Nothing to see, nowhere to go this weekend? Let me help you with that. Here are 10 things to do this weekend in the Lehigh Valley:

1.) Celtic Classic

The annual Celtic celebration returns today through Sunday, Sept. 27, in Bethlehem. In addition to the highland games, whiskey tastings and border collies, there will be multiple stages of live Celtic music to tickle your eardrums. Schedule and information: celticfest.org

2.) Good Dog

Indie rock band Dr. Dog tonight headlines the outdoor SteelStacks complex in SouthSide Bethlehem. Gates open 6:30 p.m. Opening act is Philadelphia-based Alex G. Tickets cost $35 and $30. Information: steelstacks.org

3.) Borough bash

Festival in the Borough is 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in Downtown Washington, New Jersey, will feature three stages of live music, games, rides and even mini golf. Performers include Quimby Mountain Band, Jimmy and the Parrots, Pulled Pork, Steve Kirchuk Trio, Gina Royale, Jack Tannehill and Zack Russack. Free admission. Information: washingtonbid.org

4.) Hey, Joe

Joe Walsh, best known as lead guitarist for the Eagles and such hits as "Rocky Mountain Way" and "Life's Been Good," on Saturday brings his solo tour to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem. Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets cost $55-$79.50. Information: sandseventcenter.com

5.) Batman Day

Celebrate Batman Day and all things Caped Crusader noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at 2nd & Charles, 2590 MacArthur Road, Whitehall Twp. There will be a Batman Cosplay Contest. Plus, the first 300 attendees will receive an exclusive Batman Day "Batman: Endgame" comic book. Information: 2ndandcharles.com

6.) Dead again

The Mahoning Drive-In Theater, Lehighton, will screen the cult horror classics Evil Dead 2 and George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead, starting at dusk, tonight and Saturday. Cost is $10, $7 for children. Information: mahoningdit.com

7.) Right moves

The Gas House Dance Hall hosts its "Vintage Swing Dance Social" 7 tonight at its headquarters, 311 Front St., Catasauqua. Get on the dance floor and learn the Jitterbug, Jive, Balboa and Lindy Hop. Cost is $12, $10 with student ID. Information: thegashousedancehall.com

8.) Community action

Help support Easton's West Ward district Saturday during West Ward Community Day. The event will be held at Vanderveer Park on Spring Garden Street (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and the Lot Spot (1 to 4 p.m.). Activities include a bike/walk loop (noon), electronics recycling, pet grooming, free dental services, health screening, police K-9 and Tae Kwon Do demonstration, bicycle skills course and bike checks, karaoke and health-focused food tasting.

9.) On display

Easton's Brick + Mortar Gallery, 8 Centre Square, will host a plein air exhibition 6 tonight, featuring more than 25 original paintings from the 2015 Riverside Festival of the Arts.

10.) Vamp it up

Pretend it's 1994 all over again as you watch the Tom Cruise-Brad Pitt thriller Interview with the Vampire midnight tonight at The Emmaus Theatre, 19 S. Fourth St., Emmaus. Tickets cost $8. And it's BYOB!
