Freddy Awards 2016: School production dates, times revealed

The State Theatre on Tuesday announced an updated list of the 29 participating schools for the 2016 Freddy Awards.

The annual Freddy Awards recognizes excellence in high school theater. The ceremony will take place 7 p.m. May 26 at the Easton theater. The show will broadcast live on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 and online at wfmz.com.

The participating schools and productions are:

  • Allentown Central Catholic High School, Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella: 7 p.m. March 31-April 1; 2 and 7 p.m. April 2
  • Bangor Area High School, Ragtime (School Edition): 7:30 p.m. March 4; 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 5; 2 p.m. March 13
  • Belvidere High School, Little Shop of Horrors: 7 p.m. March 11; 1 and 7 p.m. March 12
  • Bethlehem Catholic High School, Wonderful Town: 7 p.m. April 8-9; 2 p.m. April 10; 7 p.m. April 15-16
  • Catasauqua High School, All Shook Up: 7 p.m. March 11-12; 2 p.m. March 13
  • Dieruff High School, The Producers: 7 p.m. April 28-29; 2 p.m. April 30
  • Easton Area High School, Rogers & Hammerstein's Cinderella: 7 p.m. March 4-5; 2 p.m. March 6
  • Emmaus High School, Once Upon a Mattress: 7 p.m. March 9-11; 2 and 7 p.m. March 12; 2 p.m. March 13
  • Freedom High School, Guys and Dolls: 7 p.m. April 6-9; 2 p.m. April 10
  • Hackettstown High School, No, No Nanette: 7 p.m. April 14-16; 2 p.m. April 17
  • Liberty High School, Pippin: 7 p.m. April 21-23
  • Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School, Mirror the Musical: 7 p.m. March 10-12
  • Moravian Academy, Big Fish: 7:30 p.m. March 4-5; 2 p.m. March 6
  • Nazareth Area High School, Thoroughly Modern Millie: 7:30 p.m. April 8-9; 2 p.m. April 10; 7:30 p.m. April 15, 16; 2 p.m. April 17
  • North Warren Regional High School, Godspell: 7:30 p.m. March 18-19; 3 p.m. March 20
  • Northampton High School, Oliver!: 7 p.m. April 1-2; 2 p.m. April 3
  • Northern Lehigh High School, Legally Blonde: 7 p.m. March 17-18; 2 and 7 p.m. March 19; 2 p.m. March 20
  • Northwestern Lehigh High School, Annie Get Your Gun: 7 p.m. March 3-5; 2 p.m. March 6
  • Notre Dame High School, She Loves Me: 7:30 p.m. April 21-22; 2 and 7:30 p.m. April 23
  • Parkland High School, Titanic: 7:30 p.m. April 13-16; 3 p.m. April 17
  • Phillipsburg High School, Carousel: 7:30 p.m. April 15-16; 2 p.m. April 17
  • Salisbury High School, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee: 7 p.m. March 3-5; 3 p.m. March 6
  • Saucon Valley High School, Thoroughly Modern Millie: 7 p.m. March 3-5; 2 p.m. March 6
  • Southern Lehigh High School, Carousel:  7 p.m. April 7-9; 2 p.m. April 10
  • Warren County Technical School, Annie Get Your Gun: 7 p.m. March 18; 2 and 7 p.m. March 19; 2 p.m. March 20
  • Warren Hills Regional High School, Guys and Dolls: 7 p.m. April 14, 15; 1 and 7 p.m. April 16
  • Whitehall High School, Guys and Dolls: 7 p.m. April 7-9; 2 p.m. April 10
  • William Allen High School, West Side Story:  7 p.m. April 14-16; 2 p.m. April 17
  • Wilson Area High School, Gigi: 8 p.m. March 11-12; 3 p.m. March 13

Dieruff High School led the 2015 Freddy Awards with six awards, out of 15 nominations for their production of In the Heights.
