Broadway Pub has recruited the Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman to open its "Balcony Showcase" music performance series, which will kick off Jan. 6 at the Bangor-based restaurant.

The show -- presented by radio station The Balcony -- will feature singer-songwriters Carter Lansing (Acoustic Kitty Project), Mike Roi (Roi and the Secret People) and Werner Sommer. Start time is 8 p.m.

The Bastard Sons of Burt Sugarman consists of Lansing, Roi and a rotating lineup of Lehigh Valley-based musicians. The group has performed locally at Weyerbacher Brewing Company and Connexions Gallery, among other venues.

Roi and the Secret People will release their EP Truck Stop Sushi -- a mix two new studio tracks and four live, in-studio recordings -- in early 2017. Lansing is also working on a new album, tentatively slated for a 2017 release.
