Nashville's Forlorn Strangers heading north to headline State Theatre's Acopian Ballroom

December 21, 2016

Nashville-based Americana quintet Forlorn Strangers will travel north for a February headlining performance at the State Theatre in Easton.

The group will perform Feb. 24 in the theater's Acopian Ballroom, officials announced Wednesday in a news release. Show time is 7:30 p.m.

Forlorn Strangers formed in 2013 and have since released two EPs: While the Grass Grows and American Magic Tricks. The band consists of Chris Banke, Abigail Dempsey, Hannah Leigh, Benjamin Lusk and Lehigh Valley native Jesse Thompson.

Opening the show will be Slate Belt-based acoustic rock duo Blue Jean.  Blue Jean has released two albums: 2011's Goodnight Tonight and 2014's Alchemy.

Tickets for Forlorn Strangers with Blue Jean cost $12.50.

The theater also announced in the release the addition of "90 Years of State Theatre History" with historian and former State Theatre manager Ken Klabunde.

Klabunde's show is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 19, also in the Acopian Ballroom. A $9 donation to the State Theatre will be taken at the door.
