James Franco to speak at Moravian College

James Franco is headed to Bethlehem. 

The 127 Hours and Spider-Man star is slated to appear April 15 at Moravian College's Johnston Hall, according to a Facebook event created by the college's United Student Government. The speaking engagement is scheduled for 9 p.m.

Ticket and additional information have not been released. A spokesman for Moravian College confirmed Franco's appearance in an email.

Franco's film credits include the films Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, Milk, The Interview, Pineapple Express and This is the End. He was nominated for the 2011 Best Actor Oscar for his performance in 127 Hours. In 2002, he took home the Best Actor (Miniseries or Television Film) Golden Globe for his portrayal of James Dean in the 2001 made-for-television film James Dean.

Prior to launching a successful film career, Franco got his start on the short-lived television series Freaks and Geeks (which was executive produced by Judd Apatow). The show's cast included Franco's friend and frequent collaborator, Seth Rogen. He currently stars in the Hulu miniseries 11.22.63.

In addition to acting, Franco is a writer, producer and director. He directed the 2010 Saturday Night Live documentary Saturday Night and the 2014 dramatic film The Sound and the Fury.
