Musikfest 2016: Singer Dierks Bentley to headline Aug. 7

May 16, 2016

Musikfest has gone country, again, for its latest headliner announcement.

Singer Dierks Bentley on Aug. 7 will headline the Sands Steel Stage, officials revealed Monday in a news release.

Tickets cost $58-$83. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. May 24 to ArtsQuest members and 10 a.m. May 27 to the public at musikfest.org and by calling 610-332-3378.

Bentley headlined the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in November 2014. His hits include the songs "Drunk On a Plane," "Come a Little Closer," "What Was I Thinkin," "Settle for a Slowdown," "How Am I Doin," "Home," "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)," "Every Mile a Memory" and "Feel That Fire."

Bentley's most recent album is 2014's Riser.

He is the second country music act booked for Musikfest this year, along with Lady Antebellum. (The latter is scheduled to perform Aug. 13.)

Musikfest will be held Aug. 5-14 in Bethlehem.

Here is the Musikfest lineup so far:

  • Aug. 5: X Ambassadors
  • Aug. 6: Run-D.M.C.
  • Aug. 7: Dierks Bentley
  • Aug. 8: Aretha Franklin
  • Aug. 9: Boston
