Third time is the charm: Goo Goo Dolls pencil in fall visit to Bethlehem

Goo Goo Dolls are bringing their their fall tour to Bethlehem.

The band behind the hits "Name," "Slide" and "Iris" on Nov. 17 will headline the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, officials announced Monday. Show time is 8 p.m.

The group previously headlined Sands in 2013. A year earlier, the Goo Goo Dolls performed at Musikfest in Bethlehem.

Tickets cost $35-$75. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, through ticketmaster.com and sandseventcenter.com; by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.

Goo Goo Dolls' other hits include the singles "Long Way Down," "Black Balloon," "Broadway" and "Here is Gone." They released their 11th studio album, Boxes, in May.

Goo Goo Dolls will be joined by pop-rock outfit SafetySuit, best known for the songs "Stay" and "Someone Like You." The quartet's 2012 sophomore album, These Times, reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.
