The Stray Cats are getting back together for their first tour in a decade.

Bassist Lee Rocker revealed the news today during a phone interview with DustinSchoof.com to promote his Feb. 3 solo stop at the State Theatre in Easton. He said the tour will likely happen in 2018, though specifics -- including dates and venues -- are still being worked out.

"It'll be a blast to hit the stage again and work with Brian and Jim, guys I grew up with," Rocker said.

Rocker's current solo outing has the musician sharing stories behind songs from throughout his 35 years in music -- including his work with The Stray Cats, as well as Rocker, Phantom & Slick and other solo material. His most recent album is the 2012 covers collection Night Train to Memphis.

The Stray Cats are rounded out by vocalist-guitarist Brian Setzer and drummer Slim Jim Phantom. The rockabilly group's 1982 American debut album Built for Speed spawned the singles "Rock This Town" and "Stray Cat Strut"; the former was chosen by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for inclusion in its list of "500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll."

The group has released 10 albums since their formation in 1979. Their last North American tour was a 2007 trek with ZZ Top and The Pretenders.

Setzer and his Big Band orchestra in recent years have become a staple of the State Theatre's concert season. In November, they brought their popular "Christmas Rocks!" show to Easton.
