Brooklyn's Mirah to headline ACLU benefit concert in Bethlehem

February 16, 2017

No "shushing" will be allowed when singer Mirah visits the Bethlehem Area Public Library on Feb. 24.

The Brooklyn-based artist will headline a fundraiser concert for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. The "Library After Hours" show is the latest installment of Tape Swap Radio's concert series and will be Mirah's debut Lehigh Valley performance, according to a news release.

Joining Mirah in Bethlehem will be fellow Brooklynite Kid in the Attic and indie folk act Lewis & Clarke.

Show time is 7 p.m. Admission costs $10, $8 for those with current student identification.

Bethlehem Area Public Library Executive Director Josh Berk, in the release, said the library is excited to be partnering with Tape Swap Radio. "I'm particularly thrilled to work with Tape Swap Radio, as I have long admired they work they do in bringing in great bands to town and supporting the local independent music scene. It's going to be a noisy night at library and I couldn't be happier."

Mirah released her fifth studio album, Changing Light, in 2014.

Tape Swap Radio is an original live music series which also produces a radio program that airs on Bethlehem-based radio station WDIY 888.1 FM. The station is an affiliate of National Public Radio.

The Bethlehem Area Public Library is located at 11 W. Church St., Bethlehem.
