Bethlehem punk band to open for Japan's Shonen Knife in Sellersville

March 11, 2017

Japanese pop-punk trio Shonen Knife will get some heavenly help this spring in the form of instrumental punk rockers Holy Toast.

Bethlehem's Holy Toast will open for the veteran girl group when the latter performs April 26 at the Sellersville Theater in Sellersville, Bucks County.

Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets cost $19.50.

Shonen Knife released their debut effort, Minna Tanoshiku (a.k.a. Everybody Happy), in 1981. Their follow-up, 1983's Burning Farm, was the group's first to be released in the United States. Shonen Knife's global reach influenced such alternative rock titans as Nirvana and Sonic Youth.

Holy Toast is made up of guitarist Dustin Anderson, bassist Dillon Reichel and former Great White Caps bassist Nick Pokrivchak.
