Record Store Day concerts planned for Allentown, Pohatcong Township

April 10, 2017

The Alternative Gallery and Spin Me Round will celebrate Record Store Day with concerts at their respective Allentown and Pohatcong Township locations.

This year's nationwide Record Store Day celebration is April 22. On that day, participating record stores across the country will offer limited and exclusive vinyl releases from a plethora of national recording artists.

Spin Me Round will host the bands Keep Flying, Sonnder, Above the Mendoza, Houston & the Dirty Rats and Red Rocket. Start time is 4 p.m. Admission is free and there will be pizza and water (while supplies last).

From 4 to 10 p.m., King Dead, The Road Sodas, Flip Book Oscilloscope, The Wildlings, Today We Fight with Peace, Jameek Jones and E.B. da Illest will perform at The Alternative Gallery. Admission costs $8. Proceeds from the show will go toward staging the annual ArtsFest celebration, which will be held in late September at Cedar Beach Park in Allentown.

Spin Me Round is located inside the Phillipsburg Mall, 1200 Route 22. The Alternative Gallery is located at 707 N. Fourth St.
