Musikfest 2017: Singer-songwriter Father John Misty to headline Aug. 6

May 1, 2017

Chart-topping singer-songwriter Father John Misty will headline Musikfest on Aug. 6, officials announced Monday.

Father John Misty's most recent full-length album, Pure Comedy, debuted at the top of Billboard's Rock, Americana/Folk and Alternative album charts upon its release in April.

The indie rock favorite will be joined by supporting act San Fermin.

Tickets for Father John Misty and San Fermin cost $34-$44 and go on sale 10 a.m. Wednesday to ArtsQuest members. The public can purchase tickets starting 10 a.m. Friday. Tickets can be purchased online at musikfest.org and by calling 610-332-3378.

Prior to launching his solo career, Father John Misty -- whose real name is Josh Tillman -- served as the drummer for critically-acclaimed indie rock band Fleet Foxes from 2008 to 2012. He released debut album, Fear Fun, in 2012.

Musikfest will be held Aug. 4-13 in Bethlehem.

Here is the Musikfest headliner lineup so far:

  • Aug. 4: Carlos Santana
  • Aug. 5: Chicago
  • Aug. 6: Father John Misty
  • Aug. 10: Toby Keith
  • Aug. 12: Lee Brice and Justin Moore
  • Aug. 13: Ian Anderson
