Easton Heritage Day is more than just an excuse to watch fireworks, drink craft beer, gorge on crab cakes and watch a rousing reading of the Declaration of Independence (which, let's be honest, is one of the highlights of the day.)
Heritage Day is about embracing Easton's rich history and diverse culture. And that includes music.
This year's event -- which takes place tomorrow, starting at 11 a.m. -- will again feature four stages of performers from around the Lehigh Valley.
Here are five acts you do not want to miss:
Chris Cummings Trio - 12:30 p.m., Star Spangled Stage
Drummer Chris Cummings and his trio are a fixture on the Lehigh Valley's jazz scene -- and for good reason. Solid musicianship, tight hooks and jazz standards from every era.
East Texas Tramps - 1:45 p.m., Star Spangled Stage
Double shot of blistering blues from harmonica player Jacob Henry and guitarist Christian Beshore. A delightfully dynamic duo with musical roots planted deep in the Lone Star State.
January Noon - 3 p.m., Star Spangled Stage
This up-and-coming acoustic pop duo of guitarist-vocalist Anthony Pasciuti and percussionist Thomas Mikhail has been turning heads throughout the Lehigh Valley with a sonic approach that is equal parts heart and soul, with toe-tapping melodies at their core.
School of Rock - 5 p.m., Scott Park
The School of Rock students return to the Scott Park stage, where they will be delivering more than five hours of energized takes on classic and modern rock hits until 10:30 p.m. (including during the fireworks).
Dana Gaynor Band - 7 p.m., Riverside Park
If you like your blues on the fiery side, then let the Dana Gaynor Band satisfy your music cravings. You want to hold on to your jaw so it doesn't drop as you watch the veteran guitarist fire off lick after lick of killer blues.
