Catch indie rockers Weakened Friends tonight in Bethlehem

January 24, 2019

Indie rock trio Weakened Friends will headline this evening’s “Ice House Tonight” concert at the Charles A. Brown Ice House in Bethlehem.

Presented by Tape Swap Radio, “Ice House Tonight” will also feature performances by the bands Well Wisher and bloodmoon.

Show time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10, $8 with student ID. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Center for Animal Health & Welfare in Easton.

Weakened Friends released the album Common Blah in October 2018. The album includes the single “Blue Again.”

Tape Swap Radio is a video music series and one-hour syndicated radio show taped at the Shards recording studio in Bethlehem. The sessions are broadcast online, as well as on radio station WDIY-FM 88.1. “Tape Swap Radio” features the “Shards Sessions” and “Rooftop Sessions” series — the latter of which features bands performing on the rooftop of the Cigar Factory building in Allentown — as well as music and interviews.

“Tape Swap Radio” was founded by Matt Molchany and Shamus McGroggan in 2013. Molchany recently teamed with Bethlehem Area Public Library on a project to convert the latter’s basement meeting room into a recording studio.
