Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival returns Sunday

Fans of local, independent film, clear your Sunday schedule.

The annual Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival returns this weekend to the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. Three blocks of independent film and shorts will be shown during the festival.

Here is the lineup:

1:15 p.m.: Block 1

  • 1n This Day and Age (Christine Shaman, Easton); Winner of Best Short Under 15 Min.
  • Transform my Transformers (Dan Maher, Bethlehem); Winner of Best Web Series
  • The Alley (Anthony DeSanctis, Bethlehem)
  • If I Had a Piano (I'd Play You the Blues) (Stephanie Gardner, Emmaus)
  • Magnanimity (Josh Munson, York, Pa.)

2:45 p.m.: Block 2

  • Particles III (Dave Meyers, Bethlehem)
  • The Naughty List (Ryan Hausfeld, Nazareth)
  • Rock Guardians (Dan Maher, Bethlehem)
  • Transform My Transformers (Dan Maher, Bethlehem)
  • Letters to Frieda (Amy Unger, Allentown); Winner of Best Documentary
  • Cracking Open the Universe (Joel Alfonso Vargas, Bethlehem)

4:45 p.m.: Block 3

  • Boscov: An American Story (Jaccii Farris, Allentown)
  • Transform My Transformers (Dan Maher, Bethlehem)
  • So Long (Lawrence Milano, Bethlehem)
  • Temporary Shelter (Ellen Galperin, Toby Schwartz and Katie Weeks, Easton); Winner of Best Short Under 50 Min.
