There are many ways to celebrate the new year. One of those ways is enjoying live music.
Here are New Year's Eve performances happening Thursday in the Lehigh Valley:
DAVE FRY, DINA HALL AND SAM STEFFEN | 8 p.m. Godfrey Daniels, 7 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem. The sixth annual "Three Generations of Homegrown Godfrey's" will feature performances by singer-songwriters Dave Fry, Dina Hall and Sam Steffen. Tickets cost $10.50, $5.50 for children. DEAR ANNA | 9 p.m., Holiday Inn Conference Center, Allentown. Rock out with Dear Anna while immersing yourself in geek culture during New Year's Party Con. In addition to live music, the two-day event will feature professional cosplayers, comic book and steampunk artists and writers, and "Sci-Fi Speed Dating." Hours are 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1. Information: newyearspartycon.com
DJ BRAD F SCOTT | 9 p.m., Two Rivers Brewing Company, 542 Northampton St., Easton. Ring in 2016 by moving to the music of DJ Brad F Scott. All vinyl, all night. Oh, and you may want to bring a change of clothes. There is a good chance it's going to get a little steamy with all of that hot wax on the turntable.
DJ DISCREET | 10 p.m., Pearly Baker's Alehouse, 11 Centre Square, Easton. Fresh beats that run the gamut from trip-hop to jazz, funk and even classical.
DJ GENE MEREDITH | 10 p.m., Porters' Pub, 700 Northampton St., Easton. Before you clink those glasses at midnight, groove to old-school Motown, soul and northern soul.
DJ JERRY BLAVAT | Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem. The man also known as "The Geator with The Heater" and "The Boss with the Hot Sauce" heads to Bethlehem. NOT FOR COLTRANE | 9 p.m., Pub 519, 431 Third Ave., Phillipsburg. Singer-songwriter Michael Duck, also known as Not for Coltrane, will be joined by bassist Shawn Cav and drummer Dave Deubler.
