Singer-songwriter Brian Wilson, a founding and former member of iconic surf rock group The Beach Boys, in October will return to the State Theatre in Easton, according to a news release.

The show is set for 7:30 p.m., Oct. 23. Wilson will be joined by guitarist and fellow founding Beach Boy Al Jardine.

Tickets cost $85, $76 and $62. Tickets go on sale Aug. 4 to State Theatre members, 10 a.m. Aug. 18 to the public through statetheatre.org or by calling 800-999-STATE (7828).

Wilson and Jardine reunited with Beach Boys members Mike Love and David Marks in 2012 for the band's 50th anniversary tour, which stopped that year at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center. Wilson and Jardine returned to Sands, with guitarist Jeff Beck, in October 2013.

Wilson previously performed at the State Theatre in July 2000, where he kicked off his Pet Sounds Tour.

The 73-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is the subject of the recently released film Love & Mercy, which he also produced. Wilson is played in the film by actor Paul Dano and John Cusack. Wilson co-wrote such Beach Boys classics as "Surfer Girl," "I Get Around," "Fun, Fun, Fun," "Help Me Rhonda," "God Only Knows" and "California Girls," among others.

The Wilson show is the latest addition to the theater's 2015-16 season, which includes scheduled performances by teen singer Jackie Evancho, humorist David Sedaris, singer-guitarist Johnny Rivers, "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" stars Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, The Fab Faux and Ricky Nelson Remembered, among others.
