Spider-Man, The Avengers heading to Allentown

July 21, 2015

Yes, that is your Spider Sense you feel tingling in the back of your head. And for good reason.

Spider-Man and other heroes from the Marvel Universe are coming to Allentown in the fall. The "Marvel Universe LIVE!" tour will stop Oct. 15-18 at the PPL Center, 701 Hamilton St., according to a news release.

Tickets cost $90, $70, $35 and $20. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, through PPLCenter.com and at Mealey's Furniture Box Office, 2180 MacArthur Road, Whitehall Twp.

Show times are: 7 p.m. Oct 15; 7 p.m. Oct. 16; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 17; and 1 and 5 p.m. Oct. 18.

The show will feature the famous wall-crawler and 24 other classic heroes and villains from Marvel lore. The list includes Wolverine and The Avengers team members Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Black Widow, among others.

This is not the first time Disney (which owns Marvel) has stopped in Allentown. Disney on Ice's "Worlds of Fantasy" in January held a five-day residency at the hockey arena.
