Conan the Barbarian has conquered ancient evil. Now he is conquering thirst.

Two Rivers Brewing Company today released its latest craft beer concoction, the Destroyer Pale Ale. The Destroyer Pale Ale is brewed with the Conan strain of yeast, hence the name's inspiration. (The Conan strain was developed by Greg Noonan at Vermont Pub & Brewery, according to beeradvocate.com.)

Arnold Schwarzenegger famously portrayed Conan in the films Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Conan the Destroyer (1984). Conan the Barbarian was created by Robert E. Howard in 1932, first appearing in "Weird Tales" magazine, before eventually being adapted to other media. The character was portrayed Jason Momoa in the 2011 Conan the Barbarian reboot.

Two Rivers Brewing Company in June began brewing and serving its own beer. The restaurant opened its doors in December 2012.
