If you are a member of the State Theatre and still reading this, you may want to close down your laptop or put away your iPhone and head to Downtown Easton.
Tickets for the theater's 2015-16 season go on sale 10 today online at statetheatre.org and at the box office, 453 Northampton St. By 8 o'clock, a line was stretching from the front of the theater and up Northampton Street.
Public tickets go on sale Aug. 18.
The upcoming season includes "Movies at the Mill," teen pop singer Jackie Evancho, humorist David Sedaris, founding Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson, Elf the Musical, singer-guitarist Johnny Rivers, Bollywood Masala Orchestra & Dancers of India, Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, Aida, Annie, The Fab Faux and Ricky Nelson Remembered, among others.
If you have yet to see a performance at the historic and beautiful State Theatre, then you need to fix that, immediately. The sound, and atmosphere, are hard to beat.
