Musikfest 2015: Steel Stage snapshots

Musikfest is about more than just falling into food comas from loading up on rounds of roasted corn, tacos and brightly-lit mugs full of beer. (Not that there is anything wrong with that). At its core, Musikfest is about, well, the music.

The 2015 festival, which starts Friday, Aug. 7, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 16 in Bethlehem, will shine the spotlight on local, regional and nationally-touring bands, singers and performers. There literally is an act for every music taste.

Before diving into the various stages of free music performances, which I will do later this week, here is a quick rundown of the artists who will be gracing the Sands Steel Stage (the Musikfest preview night is Thursday, Aug. 6, and will feature 1980s hit-makers Duran Duran):

Duran Duran (Musikfest preview night)

  • When: 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6
