Roll a frame for The Dude tonight at Revolutions in Lower Saucon Township

October 22, 2016

Walter Sobchak may not roll on a Saturday.

But don't let that stop you from bowling with The Dude tonight at Revolutions Saucon Valley in Lower Saucon Township.

The Big Lebowski-themed "Little Urban Achiever" bowling tournament will be held this evening, starting at 5 o'clock at Revolutions, 3718 Route 378. Teams of four are encouraged to participate in the event, which will include an appetizer buffet, soft drinks, shoe rental and White Russian drink specials, according to a news release.

Costumes, naturally, are encouraged.

Following the tournament, participants will then head over to the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at SteelStacks in Bethlehem for a 8:30 p.m. screening of the Coen brothers' 1998 cult classic.

The Big Lebowski stars Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Julianne Moore, Tara Reid and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film follows the journey of slacker Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, who finds himself caught up in a bizarre case of mistaken identity, Nihilist mind games, private eyes and show dogs.

Tickets cost $34 and $29 for the tournament and screening. Tickets for just the screening cost $7.50-$10.

Far out, man.
