If you enjoy watching classic films with a side of eggs or bacon, then Allentown's Civic Theatre should be on your weekend to-do list.
The theater's annual "Brunch with Oscar" series kicks off Sunday, Feb. 7, at Civic Theatre's Theatre514 with a screening of the 1950 dramatic film All About Eve. The series is rounded out by fellow Oscar winners Gigi, Kramer vs. Kramer and Shakespeare in Love.
All About Eve earned the Oscar for Best Picture and also landed Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (George Sanders), Best Director (Joseph L. Mankiewicz), Best Costume Design, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Sound Mixing.
Brunch starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by the film at 11 a.m. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at the theater or on the venue's website.
