The best and brightest in Lehigh Valley music talent will be recognized today during the 17th annual Lehigh Valley Music Awards in Bethlehem.

The ceremony is set for 4 o'clock at Musikfest Cafe and will feature performances by Craig Thatcher, Brosky & Meyer, MindMaze, Erin Kelly and hip-hop recording artist Tony Sunshine, among others. (Sunshine's 2004 single "Oh My God" features P. Diddy).

Students from the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts, The Lesson Center and the School of Rock will perform David Bowie's "Space Oddity." The performance will be dedicated to William Penn Elementary School student Tyden Lewis, who was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis at age 4.

Additionally, singer Gary U.S. Bonds will receive the Lifetime Recognition Award.
