Moody Blues bringing 'Days of Future Passed' 50th anniversary tour to Bethlehem

February 28, 2017

The Moody Blues will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their landmark album Days of Future Passed with a tour stop in Bethlehem.

The group will perform 8 p.m. July 18 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, officials announced Monday in a news release.

Tickets, which cost $60.50-$80.50, go on sale 10 a.m. Friday though sandseventcenter.com and ticketmaster.com. Tickets can also be purchased by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.

Days of Future Passed was released in November 1967 and spawned the hits "Nights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon." The album was the English rock band's first concept effort as well as an early entry in the progressive rock movement of the late 1960s and early '70s.

For the upcoming trek, the band will play Days of Future Passed in its entirety, according to the release.

Earlier this month, Moody Blues vocalist-guitarist Justin Hayward headlined neighboring Musikfest Cafe. The band performed in 2014 at Musikfest in Bethlehem. In 2012, the group headlined the State Theatre in Easton.

The Moody Blues' lineup includes founding members John Lodge (bass) and Graeme Edge (drums).
