Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Arlo Guthrie among new SteelStacks concerts

Blues rockers Chris Robinson Brotherhood, folk singer Arlo Guthrie and Grateful Dead tribute band Splintered Sunlight are among the batch of nine new shows announced for SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

The concerts were announced Wednesday in a news release.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood is fronted by singer Chris Robinson, former lead vocalist and founding member of The Black Crowes. The Chris Robinson Brotherhood has released four studio albums and two live efforts since their formation in 2011, their most recent of which is 2016's If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home By Now. Tickets for the Chris Robinson Brotherhood cost $22-$30 in advance and $25-$32 at the door.

Guthrie catapulted to fame in 1967 with the release of his landmark 1967 album Alice's Restaurant, which spawned the hit title track. Tickets for Guthrie cost $49-$59.

Here is the full schedule of newly announced shows:

  • 7:30 p.m. May 18: Chris Robinson Brotherhood (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. June 29: "Splintered Sunlight Recreates 6/24/76 Tower Theatere, Upper Darby, PA"; $10-$15 in advance, $12-$17 at the door (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. July 6: "Splintered Sunlight Recreates 6/28/85 Hershey Park Stadium, Hershey, PA"; $10-$15 in advance, $12-$17 at the door (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. July 13: "Splintered Sunlight Recreates 7/7/89 JFK Stadium, Philadelphia, PA"; $10-$15 in advance, $12-$17 at the door (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. July 14: Nora Jane Struthers & the Party Line; $12 in advance, $15 at the door (Fowler Blast Furnace Room)
  • 8 p.m. July 20: "Splintered Sunlight Recreates 3/19/95 Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA"; $10-$15 in advance, $12-$17 at the door
  • 7:30 p.m. July 23: Arlo Guthrie (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. Sept. 8: Classic Stones Live; $25-$30 (Musikfest Cafe)
  • 8 p.m. Sept. 15: Box of Rain: Essential Grateful Dead of '68-'74; $15 in advance, $20 at the door

Tickets for all of the announced performances go on sale 10 a.m. March 21 to ArtsQuest members, 10 a.m. March 24 to the public through steelstacks.org and by calling 610-332-3378.
