State Theatre seeking donations to repair water damage, erosion

The State Theatre is again turning to patrons and area residents for help in refurbishing the historic Easton performing arts center.

Officials announced Wednesday, in a news release, its 2015 Year End Giving Campaign. The theater is seeking donations, which will be put toward restoring areas of the venue damaged by water and have eroded over the years.

Five decades later, Rivers finds himself battling a serious case of rock 'n' roll pneumonia and boogie-woogie flu. The Rivers continues to entertain audiences around the globe. He performs Friday, Nov. 13, at the State Theatre in Easton.

Bacon Fest 2015: Come for the pork, stay for the music

Bacon is the big draw this weekend in Downtown Easton. There will be sizzling bacon, salty bacon, sweet bacon, savory bacon and succulent bacon for sale during Bacon Fest 2015.

The event will also feature two days of tasty jams. The live music portion of the programming is one of the most important components of the festival and just as alluring as the smell of cured meat wafting through the air.
